Sonja Haag Walthert
Sonja Haag-Walthert is a graduate interior designer FH | vsi.asai and has a wide-ranging know-how in the fields of interior design, architecture and object design.
She formed and sharpened her attitude to interior design in the first 10 years of her professional career, both in practice and theory. Her employment in the architectural office of Rolf Mühlethaler in Bern and her subsequent self-employment have shaped her work in the areas of design, planning and execution. Many years of working at the Institute of Interior Architecture at the HSLU, T&A as a senior assistant, later as a lecturer and today as an expert in the B+ bachelor thesis complement her practical project work with sound theoretical knowledge.
In 2015, Sonja Haag-Walthert moved to the Zurich-based architecture firm Mint Architecture, where she is now Client Director and a member of the Executive Board. At the agency, which specialises in commercial architecture, she is responsible for projects that focus on customer benefits and experience. She oversees projects in the Banking & Finances sector as well as complementary uses in the Gastronomy & Food and Work & Education markets.
In addition to the current conversions in the bank branch network of various clients, she and her team can also realise far-reaching conversion projects, such as a complete renovation including facade replacement for the Basler Kantonalbank, and a replacement building for a regional bank in the Zurich catchment area.
