Grown from a design school estab­lished in 1821, the insti­tu­tion contin­u­ally evolved and was settling as Ecole cantonale d’art in Lausanne in 1986. Inter­na­tion­ally renown designers have been teaching there. Today, the school with a theo­ret­ical but also prac­tical approach ranks among the 10 best design school world-wide.
